The Instrument Trays with & without Cover series spans ten configurations across two sub-groups, covering Article# LS11-113 through LS11-122. The covered variants (LS11-113 to LS11-117) and uncovered variants (LS11-118 to LS11-122) share identical body dimensions: 210×110×50, 240×160×50, 300×180×50, 360×210×50, and 400×230×55 mm respectively. Each tray body is a rectangular stainless-steel basin with straight walls, a flat base, and two wire-formed side handles mounted on opposing long walls for secure two-handed carrying. The covered versions include a flat rectangular lid with a centrally mounted wire loop handle, sitting flush over the tray rim through a shallow overlap edge.
All tray bodies and lids are fabricated from medical-grade stainless steel with a matte-brushed exterior finish. The instrument tray wire side handles fold flat against the tray walls during storage, reducing overall footprint on instrument shelving and sterilization racks. The 400×230×55 mm variant provides the largest internal surface area for full surgical instrument set layouts, while the 210×110×50 mm configuration suits compact procedure-specific instrument selections. The Instruments Tray Stainless Steel Without Lid variants offer identical body construction to the covered versions, serving settings where immediate open-top instrument access is preferred over covered sterile containment.
Sterile supply technicians, scrub nurses, and theater coordinators use the Instrument Trays with & without Cover for instrument set assembly, sterilization loading, and sterile field presentation across general surgery, orthopedic, and laparoscopic procedures. Covered trays transport pre-sterilized instrument sets from central sterile services to operating theaters while maintaining closure during transit, while open trays serve directly as sterile back-table instrument layouts during active surgical cases.
Leader Surgical produces both covered and uncovered variants with matching body dimensions across all five sizes, allowing facilities to pair covered transport trays with open presentation trays of identical footprint within the same instrument management workflow.
What are the three types of surgical trays?
Single-Use Tray: They are pre-sterilized trays and are disposed of quickly after a single use. Multi-Use Stainless Steel: They are durable and autoclavable for repeated use. Instrument-Specific Trays: These trays hold certain instruments like forceps and more.
