Exect Bracket Holder Tweezers
The Exect Bracket Holder Tweezers are constructed from surgical-grade stainless steel with a satin finish. The instrument is a single rigid arm with a flat tapered handle body, wider at the base and narrowing progressively toward the working end. The terminal tip is a wide, flat rectangular blade angled at 45 degrees from the shaft axis, with horizontal serration lines running across the full blade face, clearly visible in the product image. A step shoulder at the shaft-to-blade junction marks the transition between the tapered shaft and the blade working face. The Leader Surgical brand mark is engraved on the lower handle section.
The serrated blade face grips the bracket base through mechanical interlocking with the bracket’s bonding mesh, preventing the composite-loaded bracket from rotating or sliding off the tip during the transfer arc from bonding tray to tooth surface. This serration advantage is particularly relevant for posterior bracket placement, where the longer transfer distance increases the risk of bracket shift before final seating. The 45-degree blade angle aligns the bracket face parallel to the tooth surface during approach, reducing the need for wrist rotation at the point of contact. The instrument is fully autoclavable at 134°C and meets FDA, CE, and ISO 13485 standards.
Orthodontists use the Exect Bracket Holder Tweezers during direct bonding sessions, holding composite-loaded brackets securely during transfer and positioning them on premolar and molar tooth surfaces. The serrated tip face delivers reliable bracket retention across both metal and ceramic bracket base types. Posterior Bracket Holder Tweezer designs without serration require more deliberate transfer speed to avoid bracket slippage, this serrated configuration eliminates that constraint.
Leader Surgical produces this instrument with verified blade-angle geometry and consistent serration depth across every production batch, meeting the demands of the Bracket Placing Tweezer category for both anterior and posterior bonding applications.
What does “Reverse Action” mean?
Unlike standard tweezers that require constant pressure to hold an object, reverse-action tweezers are self-locking. You squeeze the handles to open the tips and release them to firmly grip the bracket.
