Bracket Tweezers Slot Aligner
The Bracket Tweezers Slot Aligner are constructed from surgical-grade stainless steel with a satin finish. The instrument is a single rigid arm; no pivot, no spring, with a slim, uniform flat-paddle handle that maintains consistent width along its full length. The working tip is a small angled flat blade positioned at approximately 45 degrees from the shaft axis for bracket pickup and placement. The defining structural element is a raised rectangular aligner block sitting at the mid-body junction, clearly visible in the product image as a wide platform step between the handle and shaft sections. This block is approximately 10mm in length and inserts directly into the bracket slot after initial seating to verify bracket height and angulation against the tooth surface.
The two-zone design separates functions clearly: the angled blade tip handles bracket pickup and initial placement; the mid-body aligner block handles post-placement height and slot-angle verification, both in a single instrument without a tool change. The aligner block seats flush into the bracket slot, allowing the clinician to detect any angular deviation from the intended bracket position before the adhesive sets. The instrument is heat sterilizable up to 188°C and meets FDA, CE, and ISO 13485 standards.
Orthodontists use the Bracket Tweezers Slot Aligner during anterior bracket bonding, placing the bracket, then immediately flipping to use the aligner block for slot-height confirmation on incisors and canines. Anterior Bonding Tweezer with Slot Aligner instruments are the clinical standard when bracket height deviation must be caught before light curing.
Leader Surgical produces this instrument with verified aligner-block dimensions matched to standard 0.022-inch bracket slot widths, ensuring consistent slot engagement across all major bracket systems. The Bracket Placer/Slot Aligner Tweezers platform covers the full placement-to-verification workflow in one instrument.
How does the Slot Aligner work?
The aligner is a thin, rectangular blade (usually on the back end or the tip) that fits precisely into the horizontal archwire slot of the bracket. It is used to ensure the bracket is perfectly leveled and parallel to the tooth’s long axis before curing the adhesive.
