VERTICAL LOOP/ STEP BEND PLIER
The Vertical Loop/ Step Bend Plier is available in three step variants: 1mm (LS8-080), 2mm (LS8-081), and 3mm (LS8-082), each forged from surgical-grade stainless steel with a mirror-polish finish. The jaw assembly features a four-tier rectangular stepped block face on both beaks. Each tier carries a flat, squared surface at a fixed width: 1.5mm, 3.5mm, 6.5mm, and 7.5mm across the step sequence, as dimensioned in the product diagrams. The tip-tier width varies between variants; 1.5mm for the 1mm and 2mm step models, 2.5mm for the 3mm model, which determines the loop height and offset depth produced per compression.
The stepped jaw geometry separates this instrument from all loop-forming pliers that use cylindrical or grooved beaks. One squeeze between any two adjacent tier surfaces produces a vertical loop or bayonet step bend of consistent, pre-set height without repositioning the wire. The box-joint hinge keeps both stepped faces in matched alignment under repeated load. The Vertical Loop Plier – Step Bend platform handles round and rectangular archwire and withstands full autoclave sterilization at 134°C.
