The Stainless-Steel Tray is a solid, non-perforated rectangular tray with a flush-fitting lid, built from medical-grade stainless steel with a smooth mirror finish. The standard variant (LS11-315 A) measures 284 × 187 × 29mm, while the mini variant (LS11-316 AS Mini) measures 187 × 145 × 25mm. Both feature uniform, seamless pressed sidewalls with covered corners that prevent debris accumulation and allow complete surface cleaning between cycles. The lid sits flat across the full top opening, forming a close contact seal that protects contents during transport from the central sterile supply department to the operating room.

The solid base construction — with no perforations — makes both variants suitable for holding gauze, sutures, small implants, and liquid-sensitive instruments that require a contained surface. The Instruments Tray Stainless Steel body withstands repeated steam autoclave cycles at 134°C without dimensional change, surface pitting, or rust formation. The standard size accommodates full general surgery instrument sets, while the mini variant fits comfortably inside compact sterilization cassettes used in dental and ophthalmic setups.

Scrub nurses and sterile processing technicians use the Stainless-Steel Tray across general surgery, dental surgery, and ophthalmic operating theatres. Dental surgeons rely on the mini variant to organize elevators, forceps, and scalers on chairside trolleys during extractions and implant placements. In general surgery, the standard variant holds retractors, needle holders, and tissue forceps in sequence on the Mayo stand throughout abdominal and laparoscopic procedures.

Leader Surgical produces both variants to a build standard that meets the daily demands of busy central sterile departments — where consistent autoclave performance and zero surface degradation are non-negotiable requirements for surgical teams.

How do I remove “rainbow” heat stains?
These prismatic stains (heat tint) occur from high temperatures. They do not affect performance and can be easily removed by wiping the tray with diluted white vinegar.
