The Micro Ligature Cutter Straight (Article# LS8-107) is built from surgical-grade stainless steel with a micro-sized straight cutting head aligned directly with the handle axis. Both jaw faces carry Tungsten Carbide insert blades within a fine, narrow tapered beak that fits between adjacent bracket wings without displacement, cutting the ligature tie at its exact twist point with no surrounding structure contact.
The straight jaw axis gives the clinician a direct, unobstructed view of the cutting zone from handle to tip, a sightline advantage that the 15° angled variant trades away for posterior reach. TC blades cut soft stainless steel ligature wire, elastic ligatures, and wire pins up to .015″ (.38mm) in a single clean closure. A box-joint pivot maintains blade registration through repeated fine-wire cutting cycles.
