Kidney Tray Shallow

Stainless steel kidney-shaped shallow basin with wide flat collection surface for easy instrument access.

Key Features:
• Available in three lengths: 170 mm, 220 mm, and 240 mm
• Single-piece deep-drawn stainless steel construction ensures seamless, durable body
• Reduced basin depth creates wide, flat surface for instrument display or fluid collection
• Crescent-shaped profile follows standard renal curve for ergonomic handling
• High mirror-polished interior and exterior allow fast cleaning and visual inspection
• Continuous rolled rim reinforces edges and eliminates sharp contact surfaces
• Flat base provides stable placement on trolleys, sterile drapes, or exam tables
• Shallow design enables immediate access to instruments or small-volume fluids without tilting

The Kidney Tray Shallow is available in three length variants: 170 mm, 220 mm, and 240 mm, covering Article# LS11-140 through LS11-142. Each tray follows the standard renal crescent outline formed from medical-grade stainless steel using a single-piece deep-draw stamping process. What distinguishes this model from standard kidney trays is its notably reduced basin depth — the walls rise only marginally above the base, producing a wide, flat collection surface rather than a deep containment vessel. The interior and exterior both carry a high mirror-polish finish, and a continuous rolled perimeter rim reinforces the edge while eliminating any sharp contact surface.

The kidney dish shallow profile makes contents immediately visible and accessible from above without tilting or angling the tray. The flat base geometry across all three variants ensures stable placement on instrument trolleys, sterile draping surfaces, and examination tables without lateral movement. No handles, measurement markings, or additional fittings are present on any variant, keeping the surface completely unobstructed. The 170 mm version suits compact procedure setups, the 220 mm serves mid-range clinical use, and the kidney shape tray 240 mm variant accommodates larger instrument layouts or broader fluid collection needs.

Scrub nurses, dermatologists, and minor surgery teams rely on the Kidney Tray Shallow primarily for instrument presentation and small-volume fluid containment during skin procedures, suturing, wound debridement, and endoscopic assistance tasks. The shallow basin depth makes it particularly suited for holding antiseptic-soaked gauze, presenting small surgical instruments flat for immediate pickup, or collecting superficial wound drainage during dressing changes. Plastic surgeons and ophthalmologists also use this kidney dish format on their instrument tables for controlled, low-profile material access throughout procedures.

Leader Surgical produces all three shallow tray variants with identical rim geometry and mirror-finish quality, ensuring each size delivers the same flat, stable, contamination-resistant surface that clinical teams depend on across both sterile and non-sterile procedure environments.

What are the three types of surgical trays?
There are mainly three surgical trays: Perforated Trays, Mesh Trays, and Wire Trays. Perforated Tray – They are made from auto-polymerizing polymethyl-methacrylate. (PMMA) resin, thermoplastic cloth, and visible-mild curing resin.
