ISSC1 SINUS LIFT
Double-ended stainless-steel sinus lift curette with 3.5mm concave blades for controlled initial Schneiderian membrane elevation in lateral window procedures.
Key Features:
• Surgical-grade stainless steel construction with dual 3.5mm working blades
• Standard-length offset blades for controlled access to sinus floor
• Concave spoon-shaped tips enable smooth membrane elevation along bone surface
• Rounded atraumatic edges reduce risk of membrane perforation during initial lift
• Mirror-image ends allow directional use without repositioning
• Ringed knurled handle ensures secure grip and rotational control
• Designed for initial Schneiderian membrane separation in sinus augmentation
• Autoclavable at 134°C with resistance to deformation and surface wear

The ISSC1 Sinus Lift is a double-ended sinus lift curette constructed from surgical-grade stainless steel, featuring two identical 3.5mm wide working blades with standard shaft lengths offset at an angle from the handle axis. Each blade carries a concave spoon-shaped inner face with a smooth, rounded atraumatic tip designed to contact bone rather than membrane tissue during elevation. The full-length ringed knurled handle provides firm grip and consistent rotational control throughout the procedure. Both working ends are mirror-image configurations, allowing left and right directional elevation without instrument change.
The 3.5mm blade width covers the initial sinus floor footprint effectively during the first phase of membrane separation without over-reaching anatomy. The Dental Sinus Lift Curette handle’s circumferential ring pattern maintains grip stability under fluid-exposed intraoral conditions. The atraumatic rounded tip maintains bone contact through the elevation stroke, reducing the risk of Schneiderian membrane perforation during the critical initial detachment phase. This instrument tolerates full steam autoclave sterilization at 134°C and repeated ultrasonic cleaning cycles without blade deformation or surface degradation.
Oral and maxillofacial surgeons and implantologists use this Sinus Lift instrument as the primary curette during the lateral window maxillary sinus floor augmentation procedure. Following osteotomy of the lateral bony window, the ISSC1 is the first instrument introduced to initiate Schneiderian membrane separation from the inferior sinus floor, elevating it anteriorly and posteriorly away from the bone. Once the accessible floor is elevated, bone graft material, autograft, allograft, or xenograft, is packed into the sub-membrane space to augment vertical bone height before posterior implant placement.
The instruments that a surgeon reaches for first in any procedure carry the most responsibility, and Leader Surgical builds the ISSC1 to meet that responsibility with blade geometry, build quality, and tactile response that hold up every single time.
What are the two types of sinus lift?
There are two forms of sinus elevation surgery: an internal sinus lift and an external sinus lift. The type of sinus lift required depends upon the amount of native bone present at the time of surgery.
