The Forceps Jars / Thermometer Jar is offered in nine size configurations spanning Article# LS11-153 through LS11-161, with diameter-to-height dimensions ranging from 30×90 mm up to 100×200 mm. The complete size range covers 30×90, 50×100, 50×130, 50×175, 75×100, 75×130, 75×175, 100×175, and 100×200 mm variants. Each jar consists of a narrow, tall cylindrical tube body mounted on a wide, flat circular base that provides stable, tip-resistant support when the jar stands upright on a clinical surface. The base diameter significantly exceeds the tube diameter, creating a low center of gravity that prevents tipping even when long instruments are stored vertically inside.

The entire assembly — tube body and flared base — is fabricated from medical-grade stainless steel in a seamless single-piece formation with a mirror-polished exterior finish. The open-top tube design allows instruments to slide in and out vertically without obstruction. No lid, cover, or internal gripping mechanism is present. The thermometer jar narrower variants such as the 30×90 mm and 50×100 mm configurations suit slim, elongated instruments, while the 100×175 mm and 100×200 mm versions accommodate wider-handled forceps and longer clinical thermometers comfortably.

Operating room nurses, scrub technicians, and ward staff use the Forceps Jars / Thermometer Jar to store and present sterile forceps, dissecting forceps, clinical thermometers, and similar elongated instruments at procedure stations and dressing trolleys. Forceps jars holding disinfectant solution keep instrument tips submerged between active use phases during wound care procedures and minor surgical interventions. ENT surgeons and general practitioners also keep these jars on examination tables for immediate instrument access during consultations.

Leader Surgical produces all nine variants with a consistently wide, weighted base and uniform tube diameter tolerance, ensuring instruments seat vertically without lateral lean and the jar remains stable across all clinical surface types.

Can these jars be used for instruments other than forceps?
Yes. They are versatile enough to hold various small tools, including thermometers, tweezers, and hemostats.
