Bone Expander Kit
The Bone Expander Kit is housed in a white plastic case with a clear perforated lid and labeled foam insert. The Bone Expander Kit (Screw Tome) contains thirteen components: a 1.8mm pilot drill for initial osteotomy creation, two circular saw disks in 7mm and 10mm diameters for crestal and apical relief cuts, a latch adapter for slow-speed handpiece connection, a shaft extender for increased reach depth, five color-coded gold-bodied tapered screw tomes in progressive diameter pairs (1.8/2.5mm, 2.0/3.0mm, 2.5/3.5mm, 2.8/4.0mm, and 3.0/4.5mm), a manual knob for finger-driven screw insertion, and a 4.0mm knurled ratchet wrench for torque-controlled expansion.
The tapered screw tomes are threaded along their full shaft length and driven sequentially into the pilot osteotomy, condensing bone laterally rather than removing it, preserving bone density and improving implant primary stability at the expanded site. This ridge expansion kit withstands full steam autoclave sterilization at 134°C. The screw tomes operate at a recommended handpiece speed of 15–20 RPM when used with the included latch adapter, or manually via the ratchet wrench or hand knob for tactile feedback control during expansion.
Oral surgeons and implantologists use this kit during single or multiple implant placement in atrophic posterior mandible or maxilla where alveolar ridge width is insufficient for standard-diameter implants. The surgeon uses the saw disk to make crestal and vertical relief cuts, creates the initial osteotomy with the pilot drill, then threads each screw tome from smallest to largest diameter sequentially until the expanded profile matches the planned implant dimensions for immediate placement.
Leader Surgical offers this kit knowing that ridge expansion demands a complete, organized system, every component purpose-built, clearly labeled, and priced to make bone expansion accessible to every implant practice without sacrificing the instrument quality the procedure requires.
