Beebee 12 cm Saw Edge (Straight)

12 cm straight Beebee crown scissors with serrated saw-edge blade, designed for controlled straight-line cutting of restorative and orthodontic materials with stable axial force delivery.

Key Features:
• 12 cm total length with short stout straight blade design for direct force transmission
• Straight blade alignment for controlled axial cutting on flat crown surfaces
• Blunt/blunt rounded tips for improved safety near gingival margins
• One saw-toothed serrated blade for secure grip on metal and resin materials
• Opposing smooth blade for stable, controlled cutting action
• Tungsten carbide inserts for enhanced cutting durability and edge retention
• Gold-colored finger rings indicating TC-fitted instrument classification
• Suitable for trimming temporary crowns, orthodontic wires, and restorative excess materials

The Beebee 12 cm Saw Edge (Straight) measures 12 cm in total length and carries short, stout straight blades running in full axial alignment with both tips rounded to a blunt finish, a blunt/blunt tip configuration that adds a tissue-safety margin when trimming crown margins close to the gingival border. One blade runs a saw-toothed serrated edge while the opposing blade stays smooth, gripping crown and band material during each cutting stroke. The frame is built from medical-grade stainless steel with tungsten carbide inserts and gold-colored finger rings identifying it as TC-fitted on the dental tray. The instrument is fully autoclavable.

The straight blade path drives cutting force directly along the axial plane of the crown without deflecting the tip toward adjacent soft tissue. Crown-Beebee Scissor instruments in the straight configuration handle flat crown surfaces, the occlusal table, axial walls, and straight margins of temporary shell crowns, where a curved blade would over-angle the cut and reduce control on a flat approach surface.

BeeBee Crown Scissors are used by restorative dentists and prosthodontists during chairside temporary crown fabrication, trimming polycarbonate and bis-acryl crown shells along the axial margin before seating. Orthodontists select this instrument for cutting stainless steel orthodontic wires and molar band margins in straight-line cuts where a curved blade would redirect the cutting angle. The Beebee 12 cm Saw Edge (Straight) also serves when trimming flat gutta-percha points flush at the canal orifice during obturation, and cutting excess composite flash on the occlusal surface of provisional restorations before polishing begins.

Dental teams that build their full instrument tray from a single source find fewer gaps in clinical coverage, Leader Surgical stocks the complete Beebee range, the full Castroviejo series, and every instrument category between them, all to the same material and finish standard.

What is the “short blade to shanks” ratio?
The design features relatively short blades compared to the handles (shanks), which increases force transmission and provides the surgeon or dentist with better control and more effortless cutting.
