perforated instrument sterilization tray

Full-size hinged stainless-steel tray for organized, high-efficiency instrument sterilization.

Key Features:
• Mirror-polished medical-grade stainless steel resists corrosion and high-temperature autoclaving
• Full hinged lid keeps tray and lid paired, eliminating mismatched components
• Dense square perforations across lid, base, and sidewalls for full steam penetration
• Removable internal dividers create three separate instrument channels
• Prevents metal-on-metal contact, protecting delicate instrument tips
• Tray footprint 284 × 187 × 29mm fits standard CSSD autoclave chambers
• Easy drainage of condensate through perforated base floor
• Supports sterilization of full procedure-specific instrument sets in one unit
• Seamless construction ensures quick cleaning and no debris retention
• Suitable for general surgery, dental, and ophthalmic sterile processing workflows

The Perforated Instrument Sterilization Tray is a full-size hinged stainless-steel container with dense square perforations stamped across the lid, tray base floor, and all four sidewall faces. The perforated lid (LS11-303 CF) measures 284 × 187 × 29mm and connects to the tray base along the full rear edge via a stainless-steel hinge, opening flat without detaching. The perforated tray base (LS11-304 VF) shares the same 284 × 187 × 29mm footprint and houses two removable internal partition dividers creating three separate instrument channels. Both components carry a mirror-polished stainless-steel finish.

The hinged lid keeps both pieces paired through every autoclave cycle, eliminating mismatching common with fully separate lid-and-tray sets. The removable dividers inside the Instruments Tray Perforated base keep instrument groups separated by type, preventing metal-on-metal contact that damages fine tip geometry. The full perforation pattern across all faces allows unrestricted steam circulation from every angle, while condensate drains freely through the base floor after each cycle.

Scrub nurses and sterile processing technicians use the Perforated Instrument Sterilization Tray across general surgery, dental, and ophthalmic theatres to organize complete procedure-specific instrument sets for autoclave sterilization. The Perforated stainless-steel tray (284 х 187 х 29) mm footprint fits standard CSSD autoclave chamber trays without modification, moving directly from sterilization to the sterile field trolley.

Leader Surgical builds both components to consistent hinge geometry and perforation tolerances — delivering a matched set that seals correctly and maintains structural integrity across hundreds of steam sterilization cycles.

What is the purpose of the perforations?
The evenly distributed holes allow for optimal penetration of sterilizing agents like steam, gas, or plasma. They also facilitate rapid drainage of fluids and promote faster drying post-sterilization.
