Basins For Bone
The Basins for Bone is a compact, cylindrical vessel machined from solid-grade surgical stainless steel with an approximate diameter of 36mm and height of 34mm. The body features thick, straight walls with a wide open-top bowl profile and a smooth, curved interior floor that allows full access for bone collection and material transfer. The exterior carries a high-polish mirror finish, and the solid base provides a stable, non-tip footprint on any sterile field surface. No sharp internal edges are present.
This bone basin withstands repeated steam autoclave sterilization cycles at 134°C and remains compatible with dry heat, chemical vapor, ethylene oxide, and cold sterilant disinfection methods. The solid-wall construction eliminates fluid seepage and retains hydrated bone graft material, blood, or saline-antibiotic mixtures without leakage. The stainless-steel body resists corrosion, staining, and pitting across extended clinical service life. The polished surface supports rapid visual confirmation of contents and allows thorough mechanical cleaning between uses.
Oral surgeons, implantologists, and periodontists use the surgical bone graft container during dental implant placement, ridge augmentation, and socket preservation procedures. The clinician places harvested autogenous bone chips, particulate allograft, or xenograft material directly into the basin, hydrates the graft with sterile saline or antibiotic solution, and transfers the prepared material chairside to the surgical site using a bone carrier or condenser. The basin bone keeps graft material contained, moist, and accessible throughout the procedure.
For surgical teams who measure quality by what holds up under daily operating room demands, Leader Surgical delivers exactly that, instruments and accessories built with material integrity and functional simplicity that never distract from the procedure at hand, only support it.
What is the difference between “Bone,” “Biscuit,” and “Almond”?
- Bone is a classic warm off-white with subtle beige undertones.
- Biscuit is typically lighter and closer to cream.
Almond is the darkest of the three, with a more pronounced tan or “toasted” hue.
