Blue titanium coated bone grafting instruments
This Blue Titanium Coated Bone Grafting Instruments set contains seven double-ended, stainless-steel instruments, each carrying blue Titanium Nitride coated working tips. Four depth-marked packers cover a graduated tip size range: LS9-240 at 1.0/1.7mm, LS9-241 at 1.0/2.0mm, LS9-242 at 2.4/2.7mm, and LS9-243 at 3.3/4.0mm, all engraved at 8, 11, 13, 15, and 18mm. LS9-244 carries flat 3.3/4.0mm blue TiN spatula-style tips. LS9-245 is a blue TiN coated bone graft carrier with identical depth markings. LS9-239 provides angled narrow-tip access.
The blue TiN coating across all seven instruments increases working tip surface hardness, reduces graft material adhesion to tip faces, and delivers high visual contrast against intraoral tissue. The Bone Graft Kit – TC Blue Titanium Coated handles share a uniform full-length ringed knurled pattern, maintaining non-slip grip under fluid-exposed surgical conditions. All seven instruments withstand repeated steam autoclave sterilization at 134°C without coating separation, tip distortion, or depth marking degradation, making the full set suitable for long-term, multi-cycle clinical reuse.
Oral surgeons, periodontists, and implantologists use this Bone Graft Instruments Kit Titanium Coated during dental implant placement, guided bone regeneration, and ridge augmentation procedures. The four graduated packers allow sequential compaction from narrow 1.0mm osteotomy channels up through wider 4.0mm sites. LS9-244’s flat spatula tips spread and layer graft material across irregular defect surfaces. LS9-245 transfers measured allograft or xenograft volumes directly into the surgical site, while LS9-239 accesses anatomically restricted posterior and interproximal locations.
Leader Surgical has put together a set that thinks through every stage of the grafting procedure, from initial material placement to final socket condensation, so the surgeon never has to reach for a second kit.
What is the benefit of the blue coating?
The blue coating is typically an anodized titanium nitride (TiN) layer. It provides a non-stick surface that prevents bone graft or composite materials from adhering to the tips, improves corrosion resistance, and significantly reduces glare from surgical lights for better visibility.
