Both jaw faces carry Tungsten Carbide insert blades with backing ledges behind the cutting edge, a structural feature that prevents insert flex under the lateral load of tight intraoral cutting positions. The ultra-slim beak profile threads into bracket-to-bracket spaces inaccessible to standard ligature cutters.
The 15° offset redirects the cutting plane toward the bracket tie wing without requiring the clinician to angle the entire wrist, improving sightline and reducing soft tissue contact risk simultaneously. TC blades cut soft stainless steel ligature wire, elastic ligatures, and wire pins up to .015″ (.38mm) in a single closure. A box-joint pivot holds blade registration through repeated fine-wire cutting cycles, and the stainless-steel body withstands full autoclave sterilization at 132–135°C without TC insert loosening or beak deformation.
