Angle Plier Fig.3 13cm
Orthodontic round-beak plier designed for smooth loop forming, hook bending, and circular wire shaping in removable and fixed appliance fabrication.
Key Features:
• Manufactured from AISI 304 surgical-grade stainless steel with mirror-polish finish
• 13cm overall length provides balanced control for precision wire forming tasks
• Dual smooth conical beaks create rounded bends without marking the wire surface
• Fine and medium tapered beak diameters support controlled loop size variation
• Suitable for round stainless steel wire up to 0.028″ (0.71mm)
• Box-joint hinge maintains accurate converging beak alignment during compression
• Spring-action handle mechanism reduces hand fatigue during repetitive adjustments
• Fully autoclavable at 134°C and compliant with CE and ISO 13485 standards

Angle Plier Fig.3 13cm
The Angle Plier Fig.3 13cm measures 130mm in total length and is built from AISI 304 surgical-grade stainless steel with a high-polish mirror finish. Unlike Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 variants in the Angle Plier series, Fig. 3 carries two round conical beaks; both smooth and both tapering to rounded terminal tips, confirmed by the dual jaw profile diagrams, each marked with a round-tip indicator at the apex. The two cones differ slightly in diameter: the finer beak measures approximately 1.0mm at its terminal point while the opposing cone reaches 1.5–2.0mm at the same position. This dual-round geometry leaves no flat contact marks on either wire surface during loop formation.
The box-joint hinge keeps both conical beaks in converging alignment under compression. A spring-action mechanism separates the handles between working strokes without requiring hand repositioning. The instrument handles round stainless-steel wire up to 0.028 inches (0.71mm). The Angled Orthodontic Plier – 13 CM catalog designation covers this same Fig. 3 dual-round configuration across multiple supply references. The instrument is fully autoclavable at 134°C and meets CE and ISO 13485 manufacturing standards.
Orthodontists use the Angle Plier Fig.3 13cm during removable appliance construction, forming omega loops, symmetrical hook bends, and circular spring forms in round stainless-steel wire where both beaks contact points must produce smooth, round impressions. Orthodontic Pliers from the Angle series are also used by prosthodontists when forming wrought wire clasp arms on removable partial denture frameworks.
Leader Surgical produces the full Angle Plier series; Fig. 1 through Fig. 3, to consistent jaw alignment and tip-diameter tolerances, allowing clinicians to select the correct beak geometry for each wire-forming task without variation between production batches.
What is the primary use of the Angle Plier Fig.3?
The Angle Plier Fig.3 is primarily used for bending and contouring orthodontic wires, creating loops, and adjusting archwires or retainers. Its angled tip (typically 45°) allows for better access to the posterior (back) regions of the mouth.
